Sunday, June 4th, was a special day at our parish! We were honored to welcome the Very Reverend Father Mesrop Parsamyan, Primate of the Eastern Diocese, and His Grace Bishop Daniel Findikyan to St. Gregory for the ordination of five remarkable young men: Andrew Kayaian, Arthur Ipek, Daniel Bullock, Avedis Ovanessian and Kyle Pidedjian.
Bishop Daniel celebrated the Divine Liturgy and ordained the new Deacons – Andrew, Arthur and Daniel and new Subdeacons – Avedis and Kyle. Our St. Gregory family warmly congratulates our new Deacons and Subdeacons on their ordination. Their commitment to their faith, the Armenian Church and our shared culture is an inspiration to all of us.
After the Badarak and ordination service, friends, family and fellow parishioners of the newly ordained joined distinguished reverend clergy, including the Very Reverend Doctor Chad Hatfield, President of St. Vladimir’s Orthodox Theological Seminary, in Tutak Hall for a celebratory luncheon. Over 150 guests enjoyed a delicious lunch and joyful afternoon, entertainment by a newly formed band, a poem recitation, and warm remarks by a senior deacon and clergy.
St. Gregory expresses its deep gratitude to Hayr Mesrop for presiding over the day’s events and to Bishop Daniel for celebrating the Liturgy and ordaining the new Deacons and Subdeacons. Many thanks also to the parishioners who organized the ordination celebration and helped make the day memorable for the newly ordained and their families.
We congratulate again the newly ordained Deacons Andrew, Arthur and Daniel and Subdeacons Avedis and Kyle, as we are grateful for their commitment and service to our beloved St. Gregory and our community.
