Blessing of Water Service with the new Holy Muron

On September 29th, His Holiness Karekin II, Catholicos of All Armenians, blessed and consecrated the new Holy Muron at the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin. Pilgrims from around the world gathered to witness this solemn event and experience spiritual renewal and joy. The Holy Oil, or Holy Muron, is used in all sacramental anointing services of the Armenian Church as a symbol of the Holy Spirit. Through its miraculous power and the graces of the Holy Spirit, the faithful are renewed, and our lives are transformed, filled with faith, hope, and love.

The consecration of the Holy Muron offers a meaningful opportunity to draw closer to our Triune God—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—along with the faith and sacraments of the Holy Church, and to our spiritual center, the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, established by Jesus Christ himself through the vision of St. Gregory.

Our prayers rise as one, for the steadfastness of the Holy Armenian Church and for the well-being of the faithful in Armenia and throughout the world.

On October 4th, the Diocesan clergy had the great honor of receiving the newly blessed Holy Muron from the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin. In a special service at St. Vartan Cathedral, our clergy gathered to receive this sacred anointing oil from our Primate, Bishop Mesrop Parsamyan. This was a powerful reminder of the unity of our worldwide Armenian Church.

On Sunday, October 6th, the Blessing of Water service was held at our church using the newly consecrated Holy Muron, which was recently received from the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, Armenia.
