2024 All American BBQ to benefit the Fuller Center for Housing

On Sunday, July 14 th 2024, the St.Gregory Women’s Guild hosted their popular “All American BBQ.” It was a most enjoyable afternoon, away from the extreme heat of the day, held inside Tutak Hall at St. Gregory the Enlightener. This family-friendly, festive event is an annual Parish fundraiser, with all net proceeds donated to the Fuller Center for Housing in Armenia (FCHA). St. Gregory Parishioners and friends in attendance shared warm fellowship and a delicious, abundant menu of traditional BBQ favorites.

Special gratitude to the Women’s Guild members and Men’s Club “grillers” for their contributions and efforts.

A compassionate photo montage, created by Sylvia Kruizenga, was shown reflecting images of previous St. Gregory House recipients in Armenia. In addition, to encourage day-of-event contributions, Derek and Sylvia Kruizenga very humbly gave out bottles of imported Armenian wines for any donation at the door over $100. As a result from fundraising appeals, raffles and event attendance, our dedicated and faithful Parish have now successfully raised funds to build St. Gregory House #12 for an impoverished family in Armenia. This challenge was originally inspired by (the late) Harry Keleshian and his wife Edna Keleshian, who continues to donate generously toward our goals. Additional contributions are welcomed at any time.

Please make checks payable to: St. Gregory-Women’s Guild (Memo: FCHA donation), or to: Fuller Center for Housing/Armenia (Memo: St.Gregory the Enlightener House). All donations should be submitted to Gladys Tachdjian or Rita Kurkjian for proper distribution and acknowledgment. God Bless all of you for your generosity, and a heartfelt thanks for your support of those who make these houses turn into homes for families in need.
