St. Gregory Women’s Guild commemorated the Saintly Women’s Day and hosted a spiritual and lovely, delicious and friendly day of shared love on Saturday, March 18th.  The afternoon began with a Worship service in the Sanctuary, lead by Fr. Mesrob Hovsepyan, with participation from greeters and readers Beatrice Postian, Rita Kurkjian, Dawn Papalian, Sylvia Kruizenga, Holly Malkasian Stuadinger and Linda Azarian.
An enjoyable Lenten luncheon followed in the Aslanian Atrium with a “sold out” group of women representing St. Gregory the Enlightener, St. Leon Armenian Church (Fairlawn NJ), St. Thomas Armenian Church (Tenefly, NJ), and St. Sarkis Armenian Church (Dougleston, NY).
The extremely engaging guest speaker was Ms. Arpi Nakasian. Hymnographer Khosroviturhd was the topic of the lesson presented in a very contemporary address for all to appreciate and understand.
L’Oreal gift bags were donated (via Gayane Manukyan) from the AGBU and distributed to the 50 guests in attendance. Congratulations are extended to the St. Gregory Women’s Guild Executive Board, lead by Dawn Papalian and the Saintly Women’s Day Committee on a job well done.
Special thanks to Gladys Tachdjian for managing the kitchen and to Adriane Keleshian Bonfiglio for room and table setups. Extra special gratitude to Rita Kurkjian for organizing the wonderful event.
The donations collected from the day will benefit projects supporting the victims of Artsakh
