ACYOA Juniors of St. Gregory Lenten Sleepover

On Saturday, March 18th, the ACYOA Juniors of St. Gregory hosted a sleepover Lenten retreat that brought all juniors together for a fun and meaningful weekend. The retreat began with ice breaking activities and then they learned how to make choreg with our Women’s Guild members help, and were happy to take home their own choreg. The program continued with reflecting on the theme “Faith in action – Be the Church” as they had small group reflections and discussions. The evening concluded with delicious s’mores, fun games, and movie night.
We appreciate the hard work of our Junior’s adviser Chris Pahigian LeFevre, who organized and coordinated all the details of the retreat; special thanks to her daughter Ani LeFevre, who was visiting home from her college in Arizona and was able to join and help; group facilitators Annie Ovanessian and Gayane Manukyan; overnight chaperone Betty Sagatelian Ortiz, and Elizabeth Shagalian Vranka for providing the breakfast in the morning.
The Juniors attended the Divine Liturgy on Sunday morning and then left for home afterwards. We look forward to celebrating the upcoming ACYOA day on Palm Sunday and their bake sale on Easter Sunday.
